Lubao boosts farmers and fisherfolk with cash aid and diesel subsidies
Local leaders in Lubao gathered on Wednesday The program took place in front of the Lubao Municipal Hall, where a marketplace showcased locally grown and produced goods. Each beneficiary received ₱2,000 in cash, food packs, and sugar to help with daily needs.
Fifty-eight farmer associations also collected 100 litres of diesel each, a twice-yearly subsidy aimed at offsetting rising fuel costs. Additional equipment, including sprayers and coolers, was provided to boost productivity and support livelihoods. Governor Pineda urged farmers and fisherfolk to look after their health, reminding them that accessible healthcare services were available. She highlighted the event’s role in recognising their contributions to the community and promoting local agriculture.
The assistance package included financial aid, essential supplies, and farming equipment. By easing operational costs and improving access to resources, the initiative aims to strengthen Lubao’s agricultural and fishing sectors. Officials confirmed that similar support would continue as part of ongoing efforts.
