Virtual Expo Helps Students Compare Universities with Confidence

A new virtual expo is set to help students and families navigate university choices with greater clarity. The Choosing Your Uni National Virtual Expo runs from 10 to 16 May, coinciding with National Careers Week. Organisers aim to ease decision-making by offering structured comparisons and flexible access to information. The event will feature over 80 sessions, including in-depth looks at every Australian university. Topics range from alternative entry routes and apprenticeships to student life and the evolving job market. Unlike traditional fairs, this expo treats comparison as a core service, helping attendees weigh options more effectively.

More than 500 schools, thousands of students, and parents have already signed up. The program is supported by major sponsor Southern Cross University and over 40 partner organisations. Research shows study-related stress remains a key concern for young people, and the expo is designed to address these pressures head-on. Participants can explore sessions at their own pace, revisiting content to build understanding over time. The format reflects how students actually make decisions, focusing on practical realities rather than abstract advice. By offering on-demand access, the expo aims to reduce anxiety and improve confidence in university choices.

The Choosing Your Uni Virtual Expo introduces a fresh approach to university recruitment. With broad participation and a focus on real-world decision-making, it provides tools to simplify a complex process. The event’s flexible, comparison-driven model could influence how future students evaluate their options.
