JEE Advanced 2026 results out: IIT admissions begin with JoSAA counselling
The results for JEE Advanced 2026 have been announced by IIT Roorkee. The exam, held on May 17, determines entry into some of India’s top engineering institutes, including the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). Candidates can now view their scorecards online at jeeadv.ac.in. To access results, they need their registration number, date of birth, and mobile number. The scorecard provides detailed information, such as roll number, qualifying status, subject-wise marks, total positive marks, and overall aggregate. It also includes the candidate’s rank in the Common Rank List and All India Rank.
Qualified students must next take part in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling. This process runs in six rounds, with seat allotments based on rank, preferences, category, and availability. Admission to IITs—including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, and others—will depend on JEE Advanced 2026 ranks. Meanwhile, admission to NITs, IIITs, IIESTs, and other GFTIs will rely on JEE Main 2026 rankings. Once a seat is allocated, candidates must complete final admission steps. This includes document verification to secure their place in the chosen institute.
The release of JEE Advanced 2026 results marks the start of the admission process for thousands of engineering aspirants. Successful candidates will now proceed with JoSAA counselling, followed by formal enrolment in their allotted institutes.
