UAE Transforms Into a Budget Travel Hotspot in 2026
The United Arab Emirates has long been seen as a luxury holiday spot with steep prices. But in 2026, travel costs have dropped sharply, turning it into a budget-friendly destination. Tourists can now find week-long packages starting at just 27,000–28,000 rubles per person, including flights and breakfast. Prices for UAE holidays have fallen significantly this year. Early booking discounts, the summer low season, and scorching temperatures—often hitting +45°C (113°F)—have all pushed costs down. Most outdoor activities are now only practical before 10:00 AM or after 5:00 PM.
Accommodation deals are particularly striking. In Dubai, budget hotels start at 32,000–42,000 rubles, down from around 80,000 rubles at the start of the year. Cheaper options are available in other emirates: 3-star hotels in Fujairah begin at 27,000 rubles, Ras Al Khaimah from 37,000 rubles, and Sharjah from 30,000–46,000 rubles. Food costs have also remained low. Local Indian and Pakistani cafés serve filling meals for as little as 200 rubles. Supermarkets like Viva, LuLu, and Carrefour offer affordable groceries, further cutting travel expenses.
The drop in prices has made the UAE far more accessible to budget travellers. With flights, meals, and hotels now available at lower rates, the country is attracting visitors who previously found it too expensive. The combination of early discounts, off-peak travel, and cheaper emirates like Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah has reshaped its reputation.
