New Writing Courses for Screenwriters and Authors Launch in May 2026

A series of new writing courses and webinars for aspiring screenwriters and authors will launch in May 2026. The programmes cover feature film writing, TV pilot development, and choosing between screenplays and novels. Each session offers structured training with industry professionals. The first course, Beginning Feature Film Writing: Complete Course with Donald H. Hewitt, runs from May 7 to July 30, 2026. It provides a full introduction to crafting a feature-length script.

A week later, on May 14, two programmes begin. *Write Your Drama Pilot in Six Weeks with Wiliam Rabkin* helps writers develop a TV drama pilot by June 25. On the same day, a 90-minute webinar, *Screenplay or Novel? Understanding Your Idea’s Potential with Tim Schildberger*, takes place from 4:00 to 5:30 PM ET. The session will be interactive, with time set aside for live questions. From May 28 to June 25, *Writing the Series Bible: Developing Your TV Series with Lynn Grant Beck* guides participants through creating a professional pitch document for a TV series.

The courses and webinar provide structured support for writers at different stages. Registration is open for those looking to refine their skills in film, television, or long-form storytelling. Each programme is led by experienced instructors in the field.
