Nakhodka's Top Schools Win Big in Annual Education Innovation Contest

The Nakhodka Mineral Fertilizer Plant (NMFP) has revealed the winners of its sixth annual 'Best Educational Project' contest. This year, 18 schools and preschools showcased their initiatives, competing in two categories: early childhood education and schools. The contest, backed by the Nakhodka Urban District administration and the Razvitie Information and Methodological Center, aims to boost educational quality in the region.

Over the past five years, the competition has inspired nearly 150 projects focused on innovation in teaching and learning.

In the early childhood education category, Kindergarten No. 58 took first place with its Green Lab project, which promotes environmental awareness among young children. Preschool No. 8 secured second place for Quantum Chemistry, a project encouraging scientific curiosity through hands-on experiments. Third place went to Kindergarten No. 53 for The Superheroes’ Unboring Science Community, a creative approach to engaging kids with science.

Meanwhile, Leader-2 Preschool’s *NMFP: Your Ticket to the Future* project highlighted career guidance for young learners, though it did not place among the top three. For schools, the top prize went to School No. 3’s *Path of a Hero: Stories of Courage*, a project exploring personal values that impressed judges with its depth and impact. Leader-2 School’s *NZMU – Your Ticket to the Future* earned second place, while School No. 14’s *Platform Vector* took third. School No. 3 also received recognition for its *EcoLab: Territory of Life* initiative, which focuses on sustainability and environmental responsibility. The winning institutions received certificates for office equipment and laboratory supplies, provided by NMFP to support further educational development.

The contest continues to drive innovation in Nakhodka’s education system, with nearly 150 projects developed since its launch. This year’s winners will use their prizes to enhance classrooms and labs, ensuring better resources for students. The event reinforces NMFP’s commitment to improving local education through practical support and recognition.
