Kazakhstan's First AI-Powered Classroom Launches in Nur-Sultan

A cutting-edge AI classroom will soon launch in Kazakhstan’s capital. Kelechek Mektebi School No. 101 in Nur-Sultan has been chosen for the pilot project. The initiative aims to blend digital technology with everyday teaching to support educators and improve student learning. The new classroom will use artificial intelligence to monitor student engagement and attention in real time. Video cameras, audio sensors, and interactive displays will track classroom dynamics. AI algorithms will then analyse the data, producing reports that highlight difficult topics or moments when students lose focus.

Teachers will receive instant feedback during lessons. This information will help them adjust their approach on the spot. The system also includes high-performance computing to process data quickly and efficiently. Beyond AI monitoring, the school will introduce drone operation courses. Students will learn to pilot, programme, and customise drones for different tasks. These additions reflect the institution’s broader focus on STEM subjects and modern technology. Kelechek Mektebi School No. 101 is already known as one of Kazakhstan’s most advanced educational centres. The AI classroom reinforces its reputation for embracing innovation in teaching.

The pilot phase will test how well AI can assist teachers and enhance learning. If successful, the system could expand to other schools across the country. The project also aligns with Kazakhstan’s push to integrate digital solutions into education.
