FPT Polytechnic celebrates 1,000+ graduates in emotional Hanoi ceremony
Over 1,000 students celebrated their graduation at FPT Polytechnic College’s Hà Nội campus during a two-day ceremony. The event took place on May 21 and 22 at the Hà Nội National Convention Centre, marking a significant milestone for the graduates and their families.
The ceremony emphasised personal recognition, with Vũ Chí Thành, the college’s rector, stating that each student should feel truly acknowledged at this moment. A moving ritual saw graduates expressing gratitude to their parents and teachers, accompanied by the song Cảm ơn! (Thank You!). Many parents were visibly emotional, with some weeping during the proceedings.
FPT Polytechnic’s approach centres on practical learning, preparing students for real-world careers through hands-on training and industry projects. This philosophy has led to strong ties with employers, including GTEL, where over 100 alumni now work across its member units. Many of these graduates are enrolled in management development and leadership succession programmes. Representatives from partner organisations also spoke at the event. Misuhiro Ito, Senior Adviser at MRIV International, highlighted the willingness of young Vietnamese professionals to embrace new challenges and learn from experience. Lưu Thị Lê, Director of GTEL’s Hà Nội Centre No. 5, praised the students’ practical skills and confirmed the company’s interest in further collaboration during training. Senior business figures in attendance expressed their admiration for the occasion and signalled plans to continue working with the college in the future.
The graduation ceremony reinforced FPT Polytechnic’s reputation for producing job-ready graduates. With strong industry connections and a focus on practical skills, the college’s alumni are entering the workforce in key roles. The event also strengthened relationships between the institution and its corporate partners.
