#ErasmusDays 2025 to Celebrate Mobility and Cultural Exchange Across Europe
The Erasmus program, the EU’s leading initiative for international exchange, will celebrate its annual #ErasmusDays from October 13 to 18, 2025. Since its launch in 1987, the scheme has provided life-changing experiences abroad for millions of students, researchers and young people across Europe. Named after the Dutch scholar Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam, the program supports academic, social and sporting exchanges. It also focuses on key priorities like social inclusion, youth empowerment and Europe’s green and digital transitions. By fostering collaboration between educational institutions, Erasmus helps break down barriers across the continent.
In 2024, over 1,000 events took place during #ErasmusDays, with universities, schools and organisations participating. The University of Vienna and schools in Austria were among those hosting activities. This year, individuals and groups are again encouraged to organise their own events—lectures, exhibitions or workshops—and register them via the official ErasmusDays platform. The initiative invites anyone to contribute, whether through small local gatherings or larger public events. Organisers can submit their plans online to join the celebration of mobility, learning and cultural exchange.
The 2025 #ErasmusDays will highlight the program’s ongoing impact on education and cooperation in Europe. With activities planned across the continent, participants will showcase how Erasmus continues to connect people, institutions and ideas. Registration for events remains open until the celebration begins in October.
