Wartburgkreis Offers Free Training for Aspiring Volunteers in 2026
The Wartburgkreis Adult Education Center has launched a new program called No Fear of Volunteering. Designed for those involved in or curious about association work, the course will run in three locations: Eisenach, Marksuhl, and Bad Salzungen. Led by Daniela Hofer, it aims to clarify how clubs and societies operate behind the scenes.
The course will cover key topics like the roles of committees, financial checks, and legal responsibilities. Participants will also learn about accounting rules, keeping meeting minutes, and handling contracts. Each session spans two evenings, totalling six hours of instruction from 6:00 PM to 8:15 PM.
In Marksuhl, classes take place at Schlossparkschule from May 28 to 30, 2026. The fee is €24, with a minimum of eight attendees required. Eisenach’s sessions run from June 4 to 11 at the Adult Education Center’s main branch, Room 09. The cost matches Marksuhl’s pricing. Bad Salzungen’s course follows at the same centre’s branch (Room 036, ground floor) from June 5 to 12. The fee structure remains identical to the other locations.
The program offers practical knowledge for anyone managing or joining an association. With three accessible venues and a clear schedule, it provides a structured way to understand legal and financial duties. Registration details are available through the Wartburgkreis Adult Education Center.
