School No. 68 celebrates DSD-II graduates in emotional diploma ceremony

School No. 68 held a special ceremony on May 15, 2026, to award DSD-II diplomas to its graduates. The event brought together students, teachers, parents, and distinguished guests in a celebration of academic achievement. Among the attendees were principal Danagul Nurlybekovna, German Consul General Matthias Kiesler, and Ute Dewald, an academic advisor from the Central Agency for German Schools Abroad in Almaty. The ceremony began with speeches from school leaders and officials. Principal Danagul Nurlybekovna, Matthias Kiesler, and Ute Dewald each addressed the graduates, highlighting their hard work, perseverance, and success in mastering the German language. Kiesler described the DSD-II diploma as a 'diamond,' symbolising the new opportunities it would unlock for the students.

Ute Dewald then formally presented the diplomas to the graduates, marking their advanced proficiency in German. The moment was met with pride and emotion from both students and their families. Fyodor Lakeyev and Jasmina Syzdykova spoke on behalf of their classmates, reflecting on their educational journey and expressing gratitude to their teachers and mentors. Aksaule Manenovna Baibossynova, representing the parents, offered warm congratulations to the graduates. Among the graduates, Kira shared that the ceremony had deeply moved her, motivating her to study German even more diligently. Riana described the presentation of *Zuckertüten*—traditional German school cones—by first-grade students to the 11th-grade graduates as the most beautiful moment of the day.

The event concluded with graduates, families, and educators celebrating a milestone in the students' academic careers. The DSD-II diplomas now serve as official recognition of their advanced German language skills. For many, this achievement marks the beginning of new educational and professional pathways.
