Russia updates Unified State Exam rules for 2025 test-takers

New rules for the Unified State Exam have been announced, detailing what items students can bring into different test sessions. The list includes calculators, dictionaries, and subject-specific materials. These changes aim to clarify what is permitted during each exam.

For mathematics, students may use a ruler without reference information. The same applies to physics, where a non-programmable calculator and a ruler are also allowed. Biology exams will permit a non-programmable calculator as well.

Chemistry test-takers can bring a non-programmable calculator, along with the periodic table, solubility tables, and an electrochemical series. Geography exams allow a non-programmable calculator, geographical maps, and statistical applications. In literature, an orthographic dictionary is permitted. This dictionary is also allowed for all other subjects. Additionally, food, water, and necessary medicines can be kept on the working table during any exam.

The updated guidelines specify which tools and materials are acceptable for each subject. Students preparing for the Unified State Exam now have a clearer understanding of what they can bring into the test room. These rules apply to all participants across the country.
