The image shows a page from a book with a black and white image of a table of numbers and text, which appears to be a tax plan for the United States. The text is written in black ink on a white background, and the table is divided into columns and rows, with each row representing a different tax plan. The columns are labeled with the names of the tax plans, such as "taxes," "rates," and "duties," and the rows are filled with numerical values.

New LL.M. in International Tax Law Launches This Autumn for 2026 Intake

A new LL.M. in International Tax Law will begin again this autumn, with the next intake set for September 2026. The programme, run jointly by ASW and Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), offers specialised training in global taxation entirely in English. It aims to equip professionals for cross-border tax advisory roles. The two-semester, full-time course carries 90 ECTS credits and covers core subjects like foreign tax systems, double taxation treaties, and cross-border tax planning. Additional modules include EU tax law, controlled foreign company (CFC) rules, and international tax policy. Students complete the programme with a 12-ECTS master’s thesis.

Prof. Dr. DDr.h.c. Michael Lang leads as academic director, while Mag. Barbara Ender-Rochowansky manages organisational leadership. The curriculum is designed for those seeking expertise in international tax law, with a focus on practical and theoretical applications.

The programme will run again this fall, with the 2026/27 academic year starting in September 2026. Graduates will gain advanced knowledge in international taxation, supporting careers in global tax advisory services. The partnership between ASW and WU ensures a strong academic and professional foundation.
