NIF Global's 'Layer'M' Fest Showcases Student Talent in Fashion and Design
NIF Global Borivali & South Mumbai hosted its annual fest, 'Layer'M', on 26th May at St. Andrew’s Auditorium in Bandra. The event brought together students, industry professionals, and mentors to celebrate creativity in fashion and interior design. Student work took centre stage, with exhibitions, talks, and a fashion showcase forming the core of the programme. The day began with an Interior Design Exhibition featuring furniture pieces, 3D models, and student portfolios. Renowned architects and designers reviewed the projects, offering direct feedback to the participants. Later, acclaimed interior designer Sarah Sham led an interactive talk show, sharing her experiences in the industry and advice on building a creative career.
The Fashion Design department presented a showcase of 110 garments created by graduating students. Each piece reflected the students’ skills and innovative approaches to design. The event also included discussions on creative processes, industry trends, and career development, giving attendees practical insights into the field. As the programme drew to a close, a felicitation ceremony honoured distinguished guests and outstanding student contributors. The awards recognised both individual talent and collaborative efforts throughout the fest.
The fest reinforced NIF Global’s mission to nurture future fashion and interior design professionals. Through exhibitions, expert feedback, and networking opportunities, students gained real-world exposure. The event highlighted the institute’s commitment to experiential learning and industry engagement.
