NEET UG 2026 kicks off today with strict rules for Gulf candidates

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) 2026 is taking place today, May 3. Thousands of candidates across Riyadh, Dubai, and Sharjah are sitting the exam under strict timing and entry rules to ensure smooth conduct. In Riyadh, the exam runs from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM (Saudi Arabian time). The entrance gate opens at 8:30 AM, but no one will be allowed inside after 11:00 AM. Candidates must bring a printed admit card, passport-size photographs, and a valid original ID to gain entry.

For Dubai and Sharjah, the test is held in pen-and-paper mode from 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM (UAE time). The main gate opens at 9:30 AM, with a strict cutoff at 12:00 PM for late arrivals. Authorities have emphasised the need for candidates to follow the prescribed dress code and carry all necessary documents. Officials have repeatedly urged candidates to read the instructions carefully before arriving. Early arrival is strongly advised to avoid last-minute complications or denial of entry.

The exam’s success depends on candidates adhering to the guidelines set by the National Testing Agency. Those who fail to follow the rules risk being barred from taking the test. Results will determine eligibility for undergraduate medical programmes in the coming academic year.
