IPS 2027 Scholarship Opens for Young Political Changemakers

Applications for the IPS 2027 scholarship programme are now open. The initiative targets young professionals with a passion for political and social issues. Candidates must submit their materials by July 31, 2026, to be considered. The scholarship welcomes applicants under 30 years old at the programme’s start. Citizens of participating countries can apply, but they must meet strict criteria. These include a completed university degree, with exceptions allowing proof of graduation by December 31, 2026.

Strong German language skills are essential—at least B2 level under the Common European Framework. Applicants should also demonstrate a clear interest in political and social matters. Previous engagement in these fields will strengthen their case. All documents must be combined into a single PDF file, no larger than 10 MB. ZIP files or alternative formats will not be accepted. The file should be named using the format 'LastName-FirstName' and sent by email to the German Embassy or Consulate General in Almaty. Required materials include an application form, proof of German proficiency, a letter of motivation, and two recommendation letters. Applicants must also provide their university degree certificate, a copy of their passport or national ID, and a passport-style photo.

The deadline for submissions is July 31, 2026. Successful candidates will join a programme designed for those committed to political and social change. Final decisions will depend on meeting all eligibility requirements and document standards.
