Yakutsk's BiblioVacation offers free inclusive summer fun for kids
A new summer program called BiblioVacation has launched in Yakutsk for children in years two to four. The free inclusive club brings together pupils from different schools, including the Global Education Center Gymnasium and City Classical Gymnasium. Organisers aim to create a welcoming space for children with and without disabilities. The initiative is a joint effort between the DTK Children’s Reading Center and the Kharyskhal charity. Activities include literary sessions, educational games, creative workshops, and cultural trips around the city. Experienced librarians and guest specialists from partner groups lead the sessions.
On the first day, children took part in a Kindness Lesson run by Leonid Dushkevich. They also joined an icebreaker workshop with psychologist Zina Popova. The program focuses on building soft skills while encouraging teamwork and creativity. Details about the second session are shared on the DTK Reading Center’s Telegram channel. Another intake for BiblioVacation is scheduled for August, giving more children the chance to join.
BiblioVacation offers a mix of learning and fun for young students in Yakutsk. The program’s inclusive approach ensures all participants can take part in activities together. More information and updates will be posted on the DTK Reading Center’s official Telegram channel.
