Health Days 2026 Empower Future Healthcare Workers with Skills and Networking

Health Region Draws Overwhelmingly Positive Conclusion from "You, Too—Self-Care" Health Days

The Health Region has declared its recent Health Days, held under the theme "You, Too—Self-Care," a resounding success. Around 300 trainees from various healthcare professions attended the three-day event from March 18 to 20, 2026, at the Aschaffenburg AOK conference center. District Administrator Dr. Alexander Legler welcomed participants each day, expressing his appreciation for the dedication of nursing and medical professionals.

The event brought together trainees in nursing care, nursing assistants, medical assistants (MFA), surgical technologists (OTA), and anesthesiology technologists (ATA). Organizers deliberately mixed the groups to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and encourage exchange among different professional fields.

The Health Days were coordinated by the Health Region's Nursing Working Group, the Academy for Healthcare Professions, the Hans Weinberger Academy, and the AOK Aschaffenburg Directorate.

The primary goal was to raise awareness among trainees about health promotion, prevention, and self-care, while providing practical strategies for their future careers. Developing skills in self-care, stress management, and sustainable work habits early in training is crucial for long-term health and professional resilience.

The compact program offered hands-on insights, including a lecture on financial planning and career-start provisions, as well as workshops on: - Ergonomic work techniques and quick recovery exercises - Nutrition and meal-prep strategies for a healthy diet - Mental resilience and self-care practices - Coordination and reaction training

Feedback from participants highlighted the practical relevance of the content and the valuable cross-professional networking as major benefits. Organizers view the event as a key contribution to building lasting health literacy among the next generation of healthcare workers.
