Governor Kostyuk inspects school renovations in Jewish Autonomous Oblast

Governor Maria Kostyuk has visited two schools in the Jewish Autonomous Oblast to review ongoing renovations. The upgrades form part of the national Youth and Children project, aiming to modernise educational facilities across the region.

Kostyuk inspected progress at Nayfeld and Valdgeym, including Isaac Prishkolnik School. In Valdgeym, crews are removing old infrastructure and preparing for updated interiors. The work focuses on safety, comfort, and modern learning standards.

At Nayfeld school, new utility systems have already been installed. Interior finishing is now underway, with the full renovation set for completion by September 1, 2026. The governor emphasised that these improvements will create better conditions for students. Schools will receive contemporary classrooms, reliable utilities, and upgraded amenities.

Both projects align with the Youth and Children initiative’s broader goals. Once finished, the schools will offer safer, more efficient spaces for education. Officials expect the renovations to benefit pupils and staff for years to come.
