Benidorm's SkyFest Launches With 24 Summer Events and 200,000 Expected Visitors

Benidorm is gearing up for a major summer entertainment boost with the launch of SkyFest. The new 14,000-square-metre outdoor venue will host over 24 events between June and September, drawing an expected 200,000 visitors. Officials believe the festival could help establish the city as a year-round events destination. SkyFest will open its doors on June 28 with a charity event supporting the Centro Doble Amor association. The lineup includes performances by Spanish artists David Otero and Bombai, along with broadcaster Tony Aguilar.

The venue, located at the Guillermo Amor Sports City in the Foietes-Colonia Madrid area, can accommodate up to 25,000 people for major concerts. For smaller events, seating is available for around 2,000 attendees. Facilities include two stages, over 100 bathroom cabins, shaded cooling zones, VIP terraces, food areas, and more than 100 metres of bar service.

Headline acts feature Latin Fest on July 4 and 5, followed by Chayanne’s concert on July 24. Later in the summer, Oro Viejo by DJ Nano takes place on August 1, with DJ Symphonic closing the season on August 21. The programme also covers comedy shows, musicals, children’s performances, and live sports screenings.

Organisers have promised further announcements in the coming weeks as the festival’s official opening approaches. SkyFest aims to attract over 200,000 visitors across its 24-plus events. The venue’s mix of music, comedy, and sports screenings is designed to appeal to a wide audience. City officials hope the festival will reinforce Benidorm’s position as a key destination for entertainment beyond the summer months.
