Yekaterinburg will host the 19th Europe-Asia Legal Congress on June 4–5, 2026. The event brings together leading law schools from across the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and observer states. This year’s focus is on the intersection of law and technology, under the theme ‘The Synthesis of Law and Technology: Toward Technological Leadership’. The congress is organised by the Europe-Asia Legal University Consortium, founded in 2022 by Ural State Law University (USLU). Members include universities from Russia, Belarus, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. During the event, the consortium will hold its annual meeting for members and partners.

The programme features a general assembly where a collective monograph on digital economy regulations in CIS countries will be presented. Discussions will also cover academic collaboration and student involvement in the *Summer University 2026* project. USLU already offers joint degree programmes with several consortium members, enabling students to earn dual diplomas. In 2026, the group plans to expand this with a new triple-degree master’s programme involving three universities.

The congress will highlight the growing link between legal education and technological progress. The consortium’s initiatives, including new degree programmes and research projects, aim to strengthen cooperation among Eurasian law schools. The event is expected to attract legal experts, academics, and students from across the region.
