Yakutia Hosts Expanded Skills Championship with New Digital Competencies

The regional stage of the Professionals National Skills Championship will take place in Yakutia from January 15 to February 20. This year’s event introduces new disciplines and offers opportunities for both vocational students and school pupils. Online registration closes on December 19. The competition features two divisions: the main category for students in vocational and technical education, and a junior section for school students aged 14 and older. Participants will test their skills across 174 different competencies. Among the new additions are Copywriting, Digital Patient Twin, Neural Networks and Big Data, and Personal Financial Pathway Design.

Last year’s championship saw strong performances from Yakutia’s teams. Aiyar Uus from the Creative Industries College secured bronze in Sound Engineering and silver in the team event. Meanwhile, Verkhnevilyuysk Technical School achieved notable results: Arsen Boyatanov’s team took first place in Rescue Operations, while Boris Ivanov’s squad earned bronze in Fire Safety. Full details about the regional stage, including rules and registration, are available on the dedicated section of Yakutia’s Institute for Vocational Education Development website.

The upcoming championship will showcase a wider range of skills than previous years. Competitors from across Yakutia will vie for top honours in both traditional and newly introduced fields. The event aims to highlight vocational excellence and provide a platform for emerging talent.
