Education

A regional event organized by the Atyrau Regional Education Department's Methodological Center aims to provide early career guidance for preschool children. Its goal is to introduce youngsters to various professions in an engaging, game-based format while fostering practical skills, creativity, and a positive attitude toward work.

The championship brings together 51 preschoolers from across the region, with a panel of ten experts—representing diverse professional fields—serving as judges. The program covers a broad range of competencies, allowing young participants to explore areas such as hairstyling, fashion design, pastry-making, visual merchandising, fine and decorative arts, choreography, healthcare and social assistance, hospitality, robotics, and more.

According to Doszhan Bolatbekuly, director of the Methodological Center, the BabySkills format helps instill a positive work ethic in children from an early age.

"Our competitive platforms are designed to create an environment where participants can unlock their creative potential with support and enthusiasm," Bolatbekuly explained. "These championships let children 'try on' different roles, build confidence in their abilities, and discover the world of professions with curiosity. While the event includes a competitive element, the primary focus is on personal growth—developing independence, initiative, and self-reliance. Tasks are tailored to resemble real-world professional activities but adapted to the children's age."

Expanding their horizons and cultivating essential skills now will help these young learners make more informed choices about their future paths.
