New German School Competition Challenges Teams with Creative Tasks by December 2025

A new competition has opened for school groups across Germany and beyond. Students from grades 4 to 12 (or 13) can take part in teams, with tasks tailored to different age ranges. The organisers have set clear rules on group sizes, topics, and submission deadlines to ensure fairness and structure. The competition offers six tasks for grades 4–8 and another six for grades 8–12. Schools teaching students with special needs, as well as 8th-grade classes, may select from either set. Most tasks require entire classes, courses, or extracurricular groups (AGs) to collaborate—no smaller teams are allowed. The only exception is the 'Current Political Issues' topic, which small groups of at least five students in grades 8–12 can tackle. Graduating classes, however, may only work on this same theme.

Each participating group can submit one project per topic, with a maximum of two topics per class or group. For 'Current Political Issues', every project must be registered separately, and topics already covered in other tasks are off-limits. Teachers must register all entries online via the competition portal. Digital submissions, such as EPUB, PDF, or video files, must be uploaded directly, with a file size limit of 500 MB. Physical projects must be postmarked by December 4, 2025, while digital entries must be submitted by 23:59:59 (CET) on the same day. The competition welcomes German-language submissions from schools worldwide, particularly from partner countries like Belgium, Italy, Luxembourg, and Austria. All school types, including vocational schools and extracurricular groups, are eligible to join.

The deadline for all entries is December 4, 2025. Teachers must handle online registrations and ensure projects meet the format requirements. With strict rules on group sizes and topic restrictions, the competition aims to encourage structured teamwork and creativity across different age groups.
