Evening bat walk at Osterath Angling Lake invites nature lovers
An evening bat walk is set to take place at Osterath Angling Lake. The event offers a chance to observe and learn about local bat species in their natural habitat. Organisers have opened registration for those interested in attending.
The walk will begin at 8:00 PM at An der Vogelruthe, near the lake. Participants must register in advance through the adult education centre (VHS). A website and phone number are available for sign-ups.
Bat detectors will be used to make the animals’ calls audible for everyone. Attendees are also welcome to bring their own devices. The event is open to mobile participants aged 12 and older, but dogs will not be allowed on the guided route. Admission is free, though donations are encouraged. Parking will be available in marked bays along the nearby side streets.
The walk aims to give participants a closer look at bats in the area. Registration is required, and organisers have provided clear details for joining. The event will run as scheduled, weather permitting.
