Curtin College and Curtin University celebrate 25 years of transforming student futures

Curtin College and Curtin University have marked 25 years of partnership in higher education. The long-standing collaboration has supported over 14,000 students in accessing university degrees through pathway programs. A recent celebration in Perth highlighted the achievements of alumni, staff, and the ongoing commitment to inclusive education. The partnership began in 2000 with the launch of pathway programs designed to widen access to university. These initiatives have enabled students from diverse backgrounds to progress into higher education. Navitas, a global education provider, has played a key role in delivering these programs.

An event at the Curtin Graduate Business School brought together staff, alumni, and leaders to recognise the impact of the collaboration. Among the attendees were standout graduates like Diem Quynh Pham, who completed a Diploma of Commerce and later received Curtin’s Vice Chancellor’s Award. Vishwa Patel, another distinguished alumni, was previously named WA International Tertiary Student of the Year. The celebration also honoured long-serving staff, including Lea Marlow, who has contributed 24 years to Curtin College. Quentin Derrick, the college’s Director and Principal, expressed enthusiasm for continuing the partnership. Both Curtin College and Navitas reaffirmed their dedication to student-first, inclusive education.

The 25-year partnership has created opportunities for thousands of students to enter higher education. With ongoing support from Navitas and Curtin College, the program will keep expanding access to university pathways. Future initiatives will build on the success of past decades, ensuring more students can achieve their academic goals.
