Agroschool Forum Unites Educators and Industry to Reshape Agricultural Training

The forum Agroschool: Career Guidance in Training Personnel for the Agro-Industrial Sector recently brought together educators, officials, and business leaders. Over 100 participants gathered to discuss modern approaches in agricultural education, from early childhood to professional training. The event highlighted new partnerships and innovative teaching methods for the sector. Mikhail Flyagin, acting rector of Ural State Agrarian University (UrGAU), opened the forum alongside government delegates and foreign guests. The discussions focused on best practices for developing agritech-focused classes, with topics ranging from AI integration to biotechnology career guidance.

Eighteen presentations covered cutting-edge educational tools, including 3D interactive atlases, urban farming, and hydroponics. Partners like AgroAspect and Green Ferma showcased their contributions to these modern formats. Two major agreements were signed during the event. A three-party deal between UrGAU, School No. 142, and Reftinskaya Poultry Farm will support joint educational programs and agricultural research. Meanwhile, a four-party agreement involving UrGAU, School No. 97, Ural Plempcenter, and Kindergarten No. 270 aims to create a continuous learning pathway from preschool to enterprise. Beyond these deals, 26 schools in Sverdlovsk Oblast have already partnered with UrGAU and agricultural businesses to promote careers in agrarian fields. Industry leaders such as Ilya Bondarev of UGMK-Agro and Yevgeny Rusakov of Ural Meat Processing Plant also attended, reinforcing the link between education and enterprise.

The forum strengthened ties between schools, universities, and agricultural businesses. New agreements will expand career guidance programs and introduce innovative teaching methods across the region. These steps aim to build a skilled workforce for the agro-industrial sector from an early age.
