Young artists shine at KompyuArt's digital creativity contest in Magadan
Magadan, March 25 – The results of the citywide computer graphics competition KompyuArt have been announced in the regional capital, with this year's event dedicated to Russia's 2026 Year of National Unity. Six teams from the Children's School of the Arts and the Children's Art School competed for top honors, with 46 young participants taking part in total, the Magadan mayor's office reported.
The creative contest was held in two age groups: - Children aged 8 to 12 - Children aged 13 to 16
The competition featured several stages, including "Home Assignment," "Theory Test," "Qualifying Task," and "Creative Works Contest."
In the 8–12 age category, first place went to the Colors of Russia team from the Children's Art School.
The Unity Code team, also from the Children's Art School, took first in the 13–16 age group.
Second-place honors went to the Cheerful Pixels and Power of Friendship teams from the Children's School of the Arts, while third place was awarded to the school's Droplets and Positivity teams.
Launched in 2006, the KompyuArt computer graphics competition is held biennially to showcase young participants' PC skills and mastery of modern digital tools for creating artwork. The event aims to demonstrate the potential of media technology in children's aesthetic development, encourage independent creative work, and identify and support talented young artists in computer graphics.
The competition fosters children's creative initiative and ambition to explore new technologies in designing compositions, posters, brochures, animated images, and short films.
