Wiesbaden's New Exhibition Teaches the Art of Reading Aloud to Kids
A new exhibition in Wiesbaden will help families rediscover the joy of reading aloud to children. Titled Reading Aloud to Children: Tips and Tricks, the event runs from Monday, May 18, to Friday, May 29. Organisers MitInitiative e.V., Read With Me!, and Queeres Zentrum Wiesbaden e.V. have teamed up to bring this experience as part of the Summer of Language Education. The exhibition focuses on making reading aloud interactive, engaging, and tailored to young listeners. Visitors will explore ways to turn storytelling into both a learning opportunity and a shared bonding moment.
Alongside the main display, hands-on workshops will take place on four afternoons. These sessions run from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Thursday, May 21, Friday, May 22, Wednesday, May 27, and Thursday, May 28. Each workshop offers practical tips for parents, carers, and educators.
The event highlights how reading aloud can strengthen connections between children and adults. By combining advice with live demonstrations, the exhibition provides tools for making storytelling more enjoyable. Families are encouraged to attend and explore new ways to bring books to life.
