Russia's Education Flagships Competition Kicks Off with New Remote Challenges
The remote stage of the Education Flagships team competition has now begun. Organised under the Russia – Land of Opportunity platform, the project receives support from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh). Participants from the Magadan Region and beyond can now take part in the updated assessment process. Contestants must first complete a revised competency evaluation. The new tests cover critical thinking, communication skills, and emotional intelligence. Additional diagnostic tools include an information analysis assessment and a resilience evaluation.
Teams of five must then form, all representing the same educational institution. Members can include students, teachers, or parents. Once assembled, each team selects one of five thematic areas and develops a concept for an educational event. Up to 600 semifinalist teams will be chosen after the remote evaluation in August. Those advancing will attend an online conference to present and defend their projects before a panel of experts.
The updated assessment includes broader skill tests and new diagnostic tools. Successful teams will move forward to defend their educational event concepts in an expert-reviewed conference. The competition aims to select the most innovative projects for further development.
