Theodor-Fliedner School breaks ground on €11M modernisation project

Our platform is investing around 11 million euros in the expansion and renovation of the old building stock, which was built between 1961 and 1965 and last renovated in 2007. All work is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, according to the current planning status. "We can then look forward to a new, colorful learning world where children can develop positively and enjoy learning together. More space, a modern room structure for new teaching concepts, a new foyer, a large dining area, and overall significantly more quality of stay for around 300 children, teachers, and care staff - these are the key points of the big goal we are working towards together," said Mayor Christian Bommers at the ceremonial event in front of numerous invited guests as well as teachers and students of the Theodor-Fliedner School. "The Theodor-Fliedner School is just one of the major construction sites in our city's massive program to renovate and modernize the Meerbusch school infrastructure," Bommers added.
