Omsk's Student Brigades Train 2,800+ in New Professions for 2026

Over 2,800 Students in Omsk Gain Second Professions Through Russian Student Brigades in 2026, Guaranteeing Employment

The opportunity to receive free vocational training is one of the key state support measures we provide to young people, said Aleksandr Cherepanov, head of Omsk Region's student brigades. "The skills they acquire not only make them in demand as brigade members on worksites across Russia and abroad but also give them a significant advantage in future employment," he noted. "Our students can enhance their core qualifications while also gaining additional professions. I am confident that these skills will serve as a solid foundation for each brigade member's career."

This year, the Omsk Regional Student Brigade is expanding its list of partner institutions. The Tarsky Industrial Pedagogical College has joined the program, and a record number of students—over 650 brigade members—will receive vocational training at Omsk State Transport University (OmGUPS) in 2026. Sberbank of Russia (PJSC) is also supporting the initiative this year.

Students are training for professions such as camp counselors, livestock workers, masons, cashiers, machine operators, reinforcement workers, concrete workers, installers, adjusters, waitstaff, cooks, teaching assistants, locomotive assistants, freight handlers, passenger train conductors, orderlies, welders, riggers, and electricians.

After completing their training, they can secure jobs through the Russian Student Brigades in fields like construction, passenger transport, railroads, services, archaeology, medicine, agriculture, and fishing.

The professional training program has been running since 2021, with over 170,000 participants trained to date.

To join the Russian Student Brigades, receive free vocational training in high-demand trades, and work on major projects in Russia and abroad, applicants can fill out a simple form at trudkrut.com or call the brigade hotline at 8-800-770-0-117.
