MTS and GITIS launch 2026 admissions with digital auditions in April

March 25, our website – MTS and the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) have announced the launch of online registration for the 2026/2027 academic year admissions. Prospective students will meet with GITIS faculty on the MTS Link digital platform on April 8–9.

The event will take place on April 8 at 3:00 PM local time. Advance registration on the website is required.

Applicants must prepare a repertoire of several literary works in different genres for their auditions, including a fable, a poem, and a prose excerpt. Faculty may also ask candidates to sing a song of their choice or perform a dance. To help applicants prepare, organizers will hold a special master class before the auditions to assist students in getting ready and finding their focus.

"This online meeting with instructors from Russia's leading theatre university is a chance for students to test their skills without leaving the region. Right now, high school seniors are busy preparing for their Unified State Exams, dedicating all their free time to studies. I'm confident that, as in previous years, students from Magadan Oblast will demonstrate a high level of preparation and will be selected for in-person auditions," said Yevgeny Nikishin, Director of MTS in Magadan Oblast.
