Free Girls' Music Camp EMMA Returns With New Workshops in August

The annual Girls’ Music Camp EMMA is returning for another year, offering free workshops to young musicians aged 12 to 18. Running from August 5 to 9 in Leer, East Frisia, the event includes new courses and hands-on training for all skill levels. Registration remains open until June 15 through the camp’s official website.

This year’s camp introduces fresh options for participants. A songwriting course, an electropop band, and a choir join the programme. For those interested in live sound, A Sound Made Simple – PA for Beginners provides technical training.

Workshops cover strings, keyboards, wind instruments, and vocals, catering to both beginners and advanced players. Two additional band workshops—*Neo Soul Vibes* and *World Music*—will also be available. All sessions are led by experienced female instructors. The event coincides with the 32nd Lower Saxony Women’s Music Days, expanding opportunities for collaboration and performance. As in previous years, attendance is free, with meals and accommodation included for all participants.

The camp runs from August 5 to 9 in Leer, with sign-ups closing on June 15. Organisers encourage interested girls to apply soon via emma-nds.de. The programme aims to provide accessible music education and hands-on experience for young female musicians.
