Free April–May Workshops Teach Adults How to Spark Kids' Love for Nature
How can we introduce children to nature in a playful, engaging, and sustainable way? Two free hands-on workshops on April 27, 2026, and May 18, 2026, will provide answers. Organized in collaboration with Fulda District Adult Education Center (vhs Landkreis Fulda) and the rangers of Rhön Biosphere Reserve, these events offer practical insights for anyone passionate about connecting children with the natural world.
The workshops are open to educators, childcare professionals, foster caregivers, volunteers, and anyone else who works—or plans to work—with children. No prior experience is needed.
At the heart of each session is experiential learning: along with brief theoretical inputs, participants will actively explore methods from environmental education and adventure-based learning.
Attendees will step into a child's shoes, discovering a kindergarten forest with all their senses and experiencing firsthand how nature can be introduced in ways that are playful, creative, and age-appropriate.
The goal? To leave with fresh ideas, inspiration, and practical tools—whether for professional educational settings or personal interactions with children.
