Faryna's Traffic Safety Concert Delights Children and Landrat Müller in Vlotho
A lively concert by musician 'Faryna' took place at the Kulturfabrik in Vlotho, attended by Landrat Jürgen Müller who even joined the dancing on stage. The event was part of the 'Safe in traffic' project, initiated by the working group 'Traffic safety' in the Herford district.
The concert was fully occupied, with special attention given to the plush traffic light figures 'Red' and 'Green'. 'Faryna' played for all first-graders of the four Vlotho elementary schools, singing catchy songs that teach traffic safety rules. The children enthusiastically participated, learning about visibility, traffic light use, safe bicycles, mobility, and school streets. Andrea Kumpert, traffic safety advisor at the local police department, actively supported the event. 'Faryna' has been touring the district's elementary schools for seven years, having been awarded the 'Red Knight' in the past. This year alone, 'Faryna' is playing over 15 concerts, educating around 2,800 first-graders across the Herford district.
The participatory concert was a great success, with Landrat Jürgen Müller praising the children's enthusiasm. The 'Safe in traffic' project continues to educate young minds about traffic safety through engaging music and interactive learning.
