Yury Andreyev's Light of the Soul Exhibition Opens March 31 in Nizhny Novgorod

A new art exhibition, Light of the Soul, will open on March 31 at 4:00 PM. The event showcases the work of Yury Pavlovich Andreyev, a well-known painter from Nizhny Novgorod. Admission is free, and the display will remain open until April 26. Yury Andreyev was born in 1946 in Gorky, now called Nizhny Novgorod. Over his career, he has worked in landscape, portrait, and still life painting. His art has been featured in regional, interregional, and all-Russian exhibitions.

Andreyev held his first solo exhibition in Nizhny Novgorod. By March 2026, he will have presented 12 more solo shows across different Russian cities. His achievements include an honorary diploma from Russia's Ministry of Culture in 2006. Currently, he serves as an associate professor in the Department of Design and Fine Arts at NNGASU. He is also a corresponding member of the International Academy of Culture and Art. The upcoming exhibition will display over 50 of his paintings and graphic works.

The Light of the Soul exhibition runs from March 31 to April 26. Visitors can explore Andreyev's diverse body of work without charge. The event highlights his long-standing contribution to Russian art.
