Yekaterinburg’s lively class reunion celebrates student spirit ahead of Russian Students’ Day
A class reunion event took place in Yekaterinburg ahead of Russian Students’ Day. The gathering brought together students from universities and vocational schools across Sverdlovsk Oblast. Organised by the Regional Youth Center, it featured competitions, performances, and speeches from local officials.
The event was supported by the Sverdlovsk Oblast Youth Policy Department. Vasily Bersenev, the department’s deputy director, spoke to attendees, sharing personal memories of his own student years. Maria Gevorgian, director of the Regional Youth Center, also addressed the crowd, urging participants to seize their opportunities and highlighting the upcoming International Youth Festival in the region.
Activities included a five-round quiz titled Best Years 2.0!, sports competitions, an open mic, and performances by the student KVN league. Twenty teams from different educational institutions took part in the quiz. The winning team, Elemental Glow, represented the Sverdlovsk Regional Branch of the All-Russian Public Organization Russian Student Detachments.
The reunion celebrated student life through competitions and entertainment. Elemental Glow secured first place in the quiz, while organisers emphasised the importance of youth engagement. The event also served as a reminder of the region’s upcoming International Youth Festival.
