Yakutia's 'Rural Employment' Project Expands to Boost Jobs and Local Production
The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has been implementing a significant program, 'Rural King', for over a decade. This initiative aims to boost rural employment, stimulate local production, and create new jobs. A recent meeting, led by Deputy Chairman Georgiy Borisov, decided to expand the project's activities and meet this year's targets.
The 'Rural King' project began in 2022, initially covering nine districts of Yakutia. In 2023, it expanded its scope to include subsidies for domestic tourism development, financial support for teachers, road repairs, and beekeeping grants across various districts. For instance, in the Ust'-Al'dansky District, 13 start-up entrepreneurs received support totaling over 1.9 million rubles. Similarly, farmers in the Tatysky District benefited from over 11 million rubles in financial support for cattle housing, feed preparation, and hay transportation.
The project's success can be seen in its ability to adapt and grow. It started in nine districts and has since expanded its reach and the range of activities it supports. This growth reflects the project's commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and development in rural Yakutia.
The 'Rural King' project continues to make a significant impact in Yakutia. With the recent decision to include new activities and meet planned indicators, the project is set to further boost rural employment and stimulate local production. Its expansion in 2023, from nine to various districts, demonstrates its growing reach and importance in the region.
