A subject-specific Olympiad for targeted admission to the Far Eastern State Transport University (FESTU) has opened at the cultural center of AK Zheleznye Dorogi Yakutii (Yakutia Railways JSC). The event, now in its 13th year, is organized jointly by Yakutia Railways, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), and FESTU.
This year, 38 high school graduates from five districts of Yakutia and the city of Yakutsk have gathered to test their knowledge. Participants will compete in mathematics, computer science, and physics. Beyond the academic challenges, the program includes tours of the company's facilities, sightseeing in the city of Aldan, and cultural events.
The two-day Olympiad will conclude with the top performers receiving recommendations for enrollment in FESTU's targeted education program.
