Weekly Crusader Highlight: Frank Amuso (March 14th)
In the vibrant campus of Holy Cross College, senior Frank Amuso stands out as a Classics and Music double major with a passion for the arts that extends beyond the classroom.
Born and raised in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania, Frank has made a name for himself on campus, participating in a variety of activities that showcase his diverse interests. As a member of the College Choir, Chamber Singers, and Chapel Choir, he finds solace in the harmonious blend of voices, tracing back his favourite memory at Holy Cross to his freshman year choir week and the first interactions with friends that shared his love for music.
When Frank isn't immersed in music, he can be found working in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) as a Scene Shop & Front of House Assistant. His dedication to the arts doesn't stop there; he also gives tours for Admissions and is co-chair of Alternate College Theatre, further demonstrating his commitment to the creative community at Holy Cross.
Off-campus, Frank has a soft spot for Miss Worcester's Diner and The Flying Rhino, two local favourites that fuel his busy schedule.
Frank's love for the arts extends to his personal life as well. His favourite book, "Heretics of Dune," and favourite movie, "Zoolander 2," are testament to his eclectic tastes. When it comes to music, Frank has a hard time choosing just one favourite song, but "That Frank" from Merrily We Roll Along and Labi Siffre's "God Bless the Telephone" are two that consistently top his list.
As the sun sets, Frank unwinds with a favourite drink from Cool Beans—a double shot of espresso in a small cup. Before turning in for the night, he enjoys doom scrolling YouTube shorts and saying goodnight to Tim St. John and his stuffed hippos.
Post-graduation, Frank intends to stay in the greater Boston area, continuing his journey in the world of arts and academia. His favourite colour, blue, may just become the colour of his future endeavours.
One thing is certain; Frank Amuso's impact on the Holy Cross community will be remembered long after he walks across the stage to receive his diploma in 2026.
