WBJEE JELET 2026 registration begins March 19 for lateral entry admissions

Registration for the WBJEE JELET 2026 exam opens on March 19, 2026. The test serves as a gateway for students seeking direct admission into the second year of engineering, technology, and pharmacy courses. Candidates will have until April 6, 2026, to submit their applications online.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) will conduct the JELET 2026 exam on June 13, 2025. This pen-and-paper-based test runs for two hours and features 100 questions divided into two categories. All questions will be in English, and the exam will take place across 31 designated cities.

Application fees range from INR 200 to INR 500, depending on the candidate's category. Over 108 colleges across West Bengal accept JELET scores for lateral entry into undergraduate programs. However, the exact number of participating institutions for 2026 admissions has not yet been made public.

The exam provides a pathway for diploma holders and B.Sc graduates to enter the second year of engineering, technology, or pharmacy degrees. Successful candidates will secure seats in colleges based on their performance in the test. Further details on participating institutions are expected to be released closer to the exam date.
