Waimea Athletics grants inaugural college scholarship to a deserving student athlete.
Let's give a shout-out to Caylee Cook, the first recipient of the Waimea Athletics College Scholarship!
Caylee, a 2025 grad from Kamehameha-Hawaii, has been chosen for this prestigious award thanks to her athletic prowess, academics, and community service. The $1,000 scholarship will help fund her college education as she kicks off her journey at Oregon State University this fall. 🏆
To earn this badge, the young athlete had to qualify based on being born and bred in Waimea, playing four years of high school sports, and participating in at least two years of middle school community sports. She's a student at one of these five awesome schools: Honoka'a High School, Kanu 'o Ka 'Aina, Hawaii Preparatory Academy, Parker School, or KS-Hawaii. 🏫
Want to be next year's scholarship sensation? Start crushing your academics, smashing your community service goals, and running those sports fields like never before! Keep an eye on the Waimea Athletics website for more info about the application process.
Caylee's success in securing the Waimea Athletics College Scholarship underscores the importance of excelling in education-and-self-development areas such as academics, community service, and sports.
