"Volunteer work proves strength in Wuppertal community"

In an effort to further professionalize volunteering and establish sustainable structures locally, the Municipal Integration Center in Wuppertal has announced a new training program. Funded by the Ministry for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Flight and Integration of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, this program aims to motivate those involved in volunteering and strengthen associations with knowledge, practical skills, and exchange.

The training sessions, which are free of charge for the associations, will be conducted by experienced trainers at the association's premises. The program covers a wide range of topics, including democracy education, media competence, communication, digitalization, talent promotion, and association organization.

Arlin Cakal-Rasch, Director of the Municipal Integration Center, emphasizes the importance of the offer, highlighting volunteering as an important partner for local integration work, cohesion, and encounter.

The training sessions will take place from September 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025. The registration period for these sessions runs from now until the end of October.

For more information about the training program, individuals who bear responsibility or are involved in voluntary work within the associations are invited to contact Burcu Temel, coordinator of volunteering in the Municipal Integration Center Wuppertal, at [email protected]. Further details can also be found on the Municipal Integration Center's website at integration.wuppertal.de.

The training program is intended to further professionalize volunteering, motivate those involved, and establish sustainable structures locally. By participating in this program, volunteers can gain valuable skills and knowledge to contribute more effectively to their communities.
