Vladivostok opens first-grade enrollment with streamlined online process
Vladivostok will begin accepting applications for first-grade admission on April 1. The city expects around 6,000 new pupils this year, joining over 60,000 students already enrolled across 75 schools. Officials are urging parents to use online registration to speed up the process and avoid delays. The enrollment campaign runs in two stages. From April 1 to June 30, families living within a school's catchment area or those with priority rights can apply. The second stage, from July 6 to September 5, opens remaining spots to all applicants, regardless of location.
Parents can submit applications in person, by post, or digitally. The Gosuslugi portal is the preferred method, as all 443 schools in Primorsky Krai now support online registration. Required documents include a parent's passport, the child's birth certificate, proof of residence, and any papers confirming preferential admission. Schools must inform applicants of their child's enrollment status within three business days of processing. Authorities believe wider use of online tools will cut wait times and help the academic year start more smoothly.
The two-stage system aims to streamline admissions for Vladivostok's 75 schools. Online applications through Gosuslugi are expected to reduce paperwork and speed up responses. Parents are advised to prepare documents early and use digital services where possible.
