Upper Franconia's New Summer Camp Takes Teens on a Global Adventure in 2026
A unique summer camp for teens is coming to Upper Franconia next year. The Evangelical Church of St. Peter and Paul in Fürth-Poppenreuth will host Around the World in 7 Days from August 3 to 9, 2026. The event invites young people aged 13 to 17 to explore global cultures in a scenic campsite setting near Forchheim. The camp will turn a picturesque site into a base for daily adventures, each focusing on a different continent. Activities range from a large-scale water battle and safari-style games to meditation, yoga, and evening campfire singalongs. Parents are also encouraged to get involved by bringing homemade cakes for afternoon treats.
Twelve trained volunteers will supervise the participants throughout the week. The €180 fee per person includes sustainable full-board meals, accommodation, and a camp T-shirt. Families registering two children can benefit from a discounted rate of €335. Those facing financial challenges are invited to contact the organisers for support. Registration remains open until June 19, 2026. A parents' information evening is scheduled for July 2, 2026, at 7:00 PM to answer questions and share details about the programme.
The camp offers teens a chance to experience global cultures in an engaging outdoor environment. With a mix of adventure, relaxation, and community activities, it aims to create a memorable summer experience. Interested families can secure their spots before the June 2026 deadline.
