Up to 600,000 Ruble Support: Republic of Komi Strengthens Measures for Young APAK Workers

The Komi Republic is rolling out new support measures for young agribusiness workers starting in 2026. These initiatives aim to help professionals balance career growth with family commitments while keeping talent in the region. A key change includes higher one-time payments for new specialists and skilled labourers.

From January 1, 2026, the republic will increase financial support for young workers in agriculture. Specialists will receive up to 600,000 rubles, while skilled labourers can claim up to 400,000 rubles. These payments are designed to encourage long-term careers in the sector.

The government is also introducing a tiered support system. This ranges from career guidance to targeted help with finding jobs. Internships play a major role, with the republic covering up to 90% of the costs for organising student placements. The goal is to secure future specialists early by linking them directly to local enterprises. Artyom Razumov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, will personally oversee personnel selection for the sector. His involvement ensures that the right candidates are matched with opportunities in the Komi Federal District.

The new measures will take effect in early 2026, providing both financial incentives and structured career support. By reimbursing internship costs and increasing payments, the republic hopes to strengthen its agricultural workforce. The focus remains on retaining skilled professionals and fostering growth within the region.
