UN's 80th Birthday Celebrated in Interactive Exhibition '#TheUNandUs'
The United Nations is marking its 80th anniversary this year, and to celebrate, the German Society for the United Nations e.V. presents '#TheUNandUs', an interactive exhibition at Stadthaus 1, Natruper Tor-Wall 2. Open from October 2 to November 7, it's free and suitable for ages 15 and up, particularly school classes.
The exhibition, organized by the German United Nations Association (DGVN), explores the UN's role in securing peace, protecting the environment, and upholding human rights. It features multimedia elements such as texts, illustrations, photos, a film, and an interactive game to engage visitors and highlight the UN's impact on daily lives.
The exhibition opening takes place on October 2 at 5 PM, with Councilman Wolfgang Beckermann delivering a speech. The exhibition is open during Stadthaus hours, providing a unique learning experience for visitors.
