UGC NET Exam 2025: Registration, Dates, Fees & Eligibility
The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to organise the UGC NET exam in December 2025. This prestigious test opens doors to Assistant Professor roles, Junior Research Fellowships, and PhD admissions. Registration begins on October 7, 2025, and ends on November 7, 2025.
The UGC NET December 2025 exam will be held in a computer-based test (CBT) format across India from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026. Aspiring candidates can apply online, with payment accepted through credit/debit cards, net banking, or UPI. The application fee is ₹1150 for General and OBC candidates, ₹600 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, and ₹325 for candidates identifying as the third gender.
The application form requires documents for identity verification, master's degree certificate, category certificates, PwD certificate (if applicable), a recent passport-size photograph, scanned signature, email ID, and active mobile number. A correction window for the application form will be available from November 10 to November 12, 2025. City Intimation Slips, detailing exam centre and shift, will be distributed around 10 days before the exam. The exam will be conducted in multiple shifts based on the subject and test centre location.
The UGC NET December 2025 exam, organised by the NTA, offers a pathway to academic and research careers. With registration open from October 7 to November 7, 2025, and the exam scheduled from December 31, 2025, to January 7, 2026, aspirants are advised to prepare thoroughly and utilise the correction window wisely.
