Udemy and OpenAI Team Up to Bring 290,000 Courses to ChatGPT Users
Udemy has partnered with OpenAI to bring its training courses directly into ChatGPT. The move aims to make education and professional development more accessible through the chatbot. Over 290,000 Udemy courses will be available, though the exact number integrated remains unclear.
The partnership allows ChatGPT users, regardless of their plan—Free, Go, Plus, or Pro—to access Udemy's content in English. They can explore training materials, take interactive quizzes, and complete practical labs and competency checks. AI-driven features, such as gap identification and personalized learning paths, will also be part of the offering.
Hugo Sarrazin, Udemy's President and CEO, stated that the integration broadens access to skills training. However, not all 290,000 courses may be available immediately. Technical, legal, and quality constraints could limit the rollout over the next year.
OpenAI and Udemy share a goal: to make learning more universal through the chatbot. The collaboration reflects a push to blend AI tools with structured education.
The integration marks a step toward embedding professional training within ChatGPT. Users will gain access to courses, assessments, and AI-guided learning support. Yet the full scope of available content will depend on overcoming ongoing challenges in implementation.
